Scripture Focus:
“Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God.”
— 1 John 3:21 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
There are times we hesitate before God—not because He has turned away, but because our own hearts feel heavy. Guilt speaks. Memories rise. Doubt tries to replace faith.
John reminds us of a freeing truth: God wants us to come to Him with confidence, not fear.
When your heart does not condemn you—when you are walking honestly and sincerely—you can approach God freely. This does not mean you are perfect. It means you are open. You are not hiding. You are aligned.
And even when your heart does condemn you, Scripture gives hope: God is greater than our hearts. His mercy outweighs our feelings. His grace stands when emotions fail.
Confidence before God is not arrogance.
It is trust.
It is a child knowing they are loved, even while growing.
God does not ask you to come flawless.
He asks you to come honest.
